At your appointment, Mike will review your concerns and discuss suitable next steps with you. Any acupuncture, herbal recommendation or follow-up plan is considered individually, with time for your questions before you decide.
About the consultation
Your first appointment is time to talk through your questions, health history and goals with Mike (Weijie) Xu, R.Ac., R.TCMP, at Momentum Therapy in Aurora. You do not need to decide on acupuncture or herbal medicine before you arrive.
The discussion may include your menstrual patterns, symptoms, sleep, digestion, medicines and supplements, together with any fertility treatment you are receiving. Bring the information you already have; you do not need a complete set of test results to start the conversation.
Mike will explain his TCM assessment and discuss whether acupuncture, individualized herbal medicine or other guidance is appropriate. Before you decide, you can ask about the purpose of the proposed care, possible benefits, risks, alternatives and costs. Any treatment depends on your assessment and consent.
TCM Fertility provides complementary care. Your physician or fertility clinic continues to manage medical fertility investigations and treatment. We do not provide IVF laboratory services or promise pregnancy or improved IVF outcomes.
