Individualized Herbal Formula

never one-size-fits-all—based on each person’s unique needs

Chinese herbal medicine is considered individually, after reviewing your health history, current medicines, supplements and stage of fertility care. When appropriate, a prescription may be prepared as herbal granules, with instructions specific to your plan.

An eight-digit Natural Product Number (NPN) identifies a licensed natural health product. Health Canada's natural health product regulation guidance explains product licensing. A licence applies to the specific product and its recommended conditions of use.

An NPN on an ingredient product does not mean that your individualized formula has been approved to treat infertility. It does not establish that the formula is compatible with IVF or IUI medicines, embryo transfer or pregnancy.

Herbs are not suitable for every patient or treatment stage. Share any proposed products with your fertility clinic before starting them; the decision may be to use, change, pause or avoid herbal medicine. We do not promise improved pregnancy or live birth outcomes.

How Your Herbal Granules Are Dispensed

Herbal granules are concentrated powders used to prepare an individualized prescription. Follow the directions supplied with your formula, and ask if any ingredient, dose or instruction is unclear.

Step 1 — Prescription & Formula Design

After your consultation, your practitioner designs a personalized formula based on your fertility goals, cycle phase, and health presentation. Each ingredient and dosage is matched to your individual diagnosis.

Step 2 — Product information and suitability

Product information should be reviewed alongside your prescription. This includes the ingredient names, supplier details, directions and relevant cautions. Where an NPN applies, its licensed use and risk information can be checked in Health Canada's Licensed Natural Health Products Database.

A product licence and a personalized clinical decision answer different questions. An NPN is not a guarantee that a product or combined formula is suitable for your medicines, treatment stage or pregnancy status.

If you have questions about the products in a proposed formula, ask before it is dispensed. Tell Mike and your fertility clinic about any new medicine, supplement or change in your treatment plan.

Step 3 — Professional Preparation

During preparation:

  • Each herb is precisely weighed according to your prescription.

  • Ingredients are evenly blended for consistent dosing.

  • The final granule mix is sealed in a single container or packed into daily-dose sachets for convenience.

Step 4 — Clear Labeling & Instructions

Every package includes:

  • Your name, dispensing date, and formula code/name.

  • Exact dosage instructions and cycle-specific timing notes.

  • Any precautions or review dates specific to your formula, medicines and treatment stage.

Step 5 — Pickup or Shipping

  • Pickup: Ready at our clinic within 24–48 hours.

  • Shipping: Tracked delivery available within Ontario.

Step 6 — Easy Use at Home

  1. Measure the prescribed amount with the included scoop.

  2. Dissolve in a small cup of warm water.

  3. Drink immediately, ideally on an empty stomach or as directed.

  4. Store sealed, in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.

Tip: If sensitive to taste, follow with warm water or add a drop of honey (if appropriate).
