Story
My path in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) included advanced study with two influential teachers whose approaches shaped how I assess and care for patients.
I first trained with Professor Xia Guicheng, whose work focuses on fertility and women’s health. I studied his herbal prescriptions and observed more than 500 patient cases. Day after day, I watched him create individualized formulas—never one-size-fits-all—based on each person’s unique needs. His teaching emphasized individualized prescriptions based on menstrual patterns, symptoms, and each patient’s overall presentation. From him, I learned to consider fertility-related concerns in the context of the whole person.
I then continued my training with Professor Huang Huang, a teacher and clinician known for his work with Jing Fang—classical herbal formulas. My learning took place in a hospital setting with patients presenting with a range of concerns, including digestive symptoms, chronic fatigue, hormonal concerns, and immune-related conditions. I observed how classical formulas could be adapted carefully to varied and complex clinical presentations.
Today, I draw on the cycle-based methods I learned from Professor Xia and the whole-body clinical perspective of Jing Fang from Professor Huang. Whether you’re seeking fertility-related complementary care, support for menstrual or general health concerns, or care for chronic symptoms, my goal is to consider your overall presentation and provide care tailored to your symptoms, priorities, and medical context.
If you would like to discuss fertility-related care or general wellness, I invite you to book an appointment. Together, we can create a treatment plan tailored to your needs using individualized TCM care within current professional standards.
